If you're nervous about investing, my best advice is to start with Kathy Bonnett and invest in Spokane. Kathy, Candie & Lori are extremely hardworking and conscientious - and routinely go above and beyond the call of duty for their out of town clients. They sent me emails & answered all my beginner questions graciously for MONTHS. They drove by properties I was interested in - and sometimes called me back to say "This isn’t in the best area - let's keep looking and find you something better". This really impressed me because they don't do the property management themselves, and they wouldn't have to deal with any of the future problems I would've encountered from purchasing the wrong investment property. They aren't interested in making a quick sale and then shuffling you off to someone else to handle the headaches - these ladies are ALL about customer service. They never steered me towards more expensive properties than I was interested in, either. In fact, they encouraged me to buy a LESS expensive home than the ones I was interested in via their emails - because it happened to be the one that fit my parameters best. Kathy, Candie & Lori will take great care of you and look out for your interests throughout the buying process. I'll definitely be purchasing with them again. You should, too.
